Photos: Freemason posters cause panic and fear in Assin Fosu

The emergence of Freemason posters at Assin Fosu in the Central Region is causing panic and fear among residents.

Even though Ghana’s constitution allows for freedom of associating with any group of an individual’s choice, the chiefs and people of Assin Fosu say they fear Freemason because they deem it to be an occultic society which must not be entertained.

Some residents who spoke to Adom News said entertaining such a group in the community was “no no” for them.

“Even in the absence of Freemason in this community, there have been several reported cases of missing children and murder,” one resident noted.

The Abakomahene of the Efutuakwa traditional area, Nana Kutin Amoah III, said an order has been given for the removal of all the posters from the principal streets of Assin Fosu.

“We will resist any attempt to introduce our children to such a group; we can’t allow that to happen,” he noted.
