Drivers and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) as part of its reforms has begun a door-to-door renewal and replacement of licenses for drivers.
Manager at the licensing sector, Williams Lamptey said the initiative is to bring the service closer to drivers who hitherto dont have time to replace or renew licenses.

The team started the initiative at the 37 lorry station Tuesday.
Mr. Lamptey told Adom News that, the initial price for license renewal is GHC 234 but has been reduced to GHC134.
He said the reduction is to motive drivers to embrace the new approach.

The Manager of the licensing sector said he is very optimistic this new model will eliminate all middle men from the system.
Also, Chairman of Concern Drivers Association, Williams Osei says this move by DVLA is a step in the right direction but pleads with them to sustain it.
Meanwhile, some drivers who went through the process to replace their license told Adom News’ Kwame Kulenu they very happy because the new method took them only five minutes and pray this will continue forever.
