Students of Enyan Abaasa Technical Institute in the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam district of the Central region have been left in total darkness due to the absence of bulbs in their classrooms.
According to reports, the students are unable to attend night preps because of the dark conditions in their classrooms.

A lecturer at the Central University, Benjamin Okyere Ankrah, who visited the school said school authorities said there were no bulbs to restore the lights in the classrooms.
The situation, he stated, has badly affected academic works of the school as students are left with no option than to study under a streetlight in the school.

But what is worrying, Mr Okyere Ankrah stated is, the headmaster of the school has used the little resources of the school to buy flower pots to beautify the school.

This, he believes is a misplaced priority and called on the Ghana Education Service (GES) to call him to order.
