Despite the dying nature of communal spirit among Ghanaians and it associated increasing demand on government for developmental projects, natives of Breman Bening in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District of the Central region, have defied the odds to renovate a dilapidated school within their community.
The residents have renovated the Breman Bening Catholic Basic School through a contribution of churches and natives of the communities.
This is the first renovation and painting ever since the school was constructed several decades ago.

The Assembly member of Bening–Ochisua electoral Area, Ismael Agyin Kwakye, explained that the unit committee members and opinion leaders of the community decided to use the project as a way reviving the dying communal spirit among Ghanaians.
The funds used for the renovation work was generated through silver collection by the citizenry and churches that operate in the community.

Residents of Breman Benning want Ghanaians to emulate such a good initiative in the area of sanitation, education, and health to give the government some kind of social breathing space.
