The Asahiman police patrol team has arrested a 22-year-old steel bender, Mohammed Gargo, at Zenu Atadeka on Wednesday for possessing a gun.
A press release signed by Tema Regional Police PRO, ASP Juliana Obeng indicated that the suspected robber was riding a royal sport motorbike with registration number, M-16-GR 746 when the patrol team upon suspicion interrupted his movement at New York, a suburb of Ashaiman.
Police says when the suspect noticed the presence of the police; he reversed and sped off immediately but was subsequently chased and arrested.

A search on him retrieved a locally manufactured pistol with 5 live ammunition cartridges and a cutlass.
Mohammed, who is currently assisting in investigation, told the patrol team that he was going for hunting at the time of his arrest.

The answer, however, did not go down well with the police and retained the retrieved weapons for evidence purposes.
