Having your high school education in the west as a Ghanaian is considered prestigious until your mates begin to recount their ‘heydays’ and participate in high school competitions which require the support of its alumni.

Although he had some high school education in the country, President Akufo-Addo had to continue his secondary education in the United Kingdom at Sussex College.
