Ghanaian rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, popularly known as Sarkodie has urged the citizenry to forgo the perception that people who are financially sound don’t need presents.

The rapper cannot fathom why some people think “rich” people are living better lives hence dont need gifts.

Sarkodie made the statement after the “Fa Ma Me” hitmaker and Supernova record signee, Jetey gave him an expensive watch as a gift for his birthday.

The “Highest” hitmaker took to his Instagram to say “So the price to pay in my position is people feeling you have everything and need nothing but it’s always a good feeling when people give you gifts 🎁… Yesterday we celebrated my bday and my young kings @supernova__records @jeteygh @gidochi came through with this 🎁😊 …”

He added that,  “Really appreciate from my heart! God bless you guys and may the hits drop continuously… And guys our new record “Fa ma me” remix drops tomorrow…” he said.

Meanwhile, Jetey, setting the record straight in an interview on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Wednesday, indicated he didn’t buy the watch for Sarkodie but his label owner, Supernova did.

“It wasn’t like I bought him the watch. Supernova did it. We wouldn’t give him any watch. I saw the expensive watch. I think it was silver. He was like at a certain point people don’t give you gifts because they think you have everything…”

Sarkodie has remixed Jetey’s “Fa Ma Me” song and has urged fans to download and enjoy.
