A 50-year-old security man of Thomas Security Services Limited stationed at the Sunyani Technical University branch of GCB bank has been found dead at his duty post.
Information gathered by Adom News suggested that the man, identified as Sumaila Dambila, was found dead on Thursday morning.

Confirming the incident in an interview with Adom News, the Bono Regional Police Public Relations Officer, Chief Inspector Kingsley Oppong, said the security man’s body was discovered around 5:am.
Narrating the story to Adom News, one Badiwe Mohammed, who is the head of security at the Sunyani Techinical University, said “we were at the station when Mohammed came to the station and reported that the deceased, Sumaila Dambila who works at the GCB ATM on campus is dead.”
According to Chief Inspector Oppong, the police upon arrival found the deceased tied up with a rope.

 “The legs and hands were tied to the chair on which he was seated with his mouth and nose tied with white and blue jacket,” he said.
He added they extended their investigation to the ATM office of the bank and discovered the Chinese metal door to the ATM office had been tempered with in an attempt to force it open but the culprits were not able to open the safe in which money is kept.

The body has since been sent to the Sunyani Regional mortuary awaiting autopsy.
