Pentecost elder shares experience at Covid-19 isolation centre after recovery

-

An elder of the Church of Pentecost, who recently recovered from the deadly coronavirus, has shared his experience at the isolation centre.

The Pentecost elder, whose name has been withheld, is reported to have been treated and discharged from the church’s PCC isolation centre given to the government to help in the nation’s fight against the global pandemic.

The elder’s interview follows days after the church posted a video which showed dozens of recovered patients of the virus massively jubilating on its official Facebook page.

The recovered Pentecost elder, speaking on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem morning show on Monday, revealed that he showed no symptoms of the disease prior to and during his stay at the isolation centre.

I showed no symptoms before my admission to the isolation centre and throughout my stay. And is the case for the more than 200 other persons discharged from the isolation centre, he said.

According to him, they weren’t given any special medication but conventional drugs to only help boost their immune system.

They gave us medicines which they said were to boost our immune system and were not to cure the virus, he noted.

And also, for those who already had some health conditions, based on their health conditions additional drugs were prescribed for them, he added.

Further in the interview, the elder bemoaned how some people at the isolation centre, complained bitterly against the health personnel and accused them of holding them (patients) against their will, because they felt fine and were not showing any of the symptoms associated with the virus.
