Ghanaian dancehall musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known in showbiz circles as Shatta Wale has commended Swedru-based artiste, Patapaa Amisty for motivating him to compose his ‘Freedom’ song.
According to the ‘Ayoo’ hit maker, Patapaa’s blessing was ordained by God as such Ghanaians should shun underrating him.
He disclosed that, when he discussed the idea behind his ‘Freedom’ song with Sarkodie, he discouraged it but Patapaa’s ‘One Corner’ inspired him to go ahead with it.

Shatta Wale has, therefore, advised critics of the ‘One Corner’ song to learn the trend to avoid wasting time in developing their talents.
“I did it for Sarkodie and the inspiration came from Patapaa. God has blessed Patapaa. Ghanaians love some kind of culture and if you do it for them they would relate. He brought another trend in music…” he said.

Asked about the significance of the 3-minute Freedom song, especially with only two words looping through it, Wale said “the song is to motivate people to love and promote the Ghanaian culture abroad.”
