The head pastor of Kingdom Witness Chapel in Awutu Breku, Rev Salifu Tawiah has finally facilitated the payment of GH₵500 to a man who stopped his daughter marriage in the church.
Mohammed Ali claimed the young man had paid halve of the GH₵1000 he demanded when the couple who have dated for years decided to marry.
On the day of the wedding which is Sunday September 10, 2017, he stormed the church and stopped the marriage ceremony until his money is paid.
This created some pandemonium with members and family of the groom expressing shock at the conduct of the man.
After about two hours of persuasion to no avail, the pastor in an interview with Adom News Kofi Adjei said they decided to pay the remaining GH₵500.
He said the engagement was done successfully on Friday thus found it strange Mr. Ali did not alert him.
Rev. Tawiah said after settling the issue, the two families have agreed to continue the ceremony to ensure their son and daughter live happily.
