Gospel musician Abena Ruthy says she doesn’t do music for lucrative purposes.
According to her, she sees it as a calling from God to tow the gospel genre. She said it would be a lie if she says music has paid off.
Speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, Madam Ruthy said the passion to do music motivates her more than money.

“In my case, it’s a passion. We the gospel people we see it as a ministry. If I say music has paid me, it’s a lie. For me it wasn’t a choice, it’s a passion. Come what may I will do it,” she told Andy Dosty.
