Parliament reconvenes Tuesday

A total of 14 bills, 10 instruments, at least 12 papers, and 13 directives are expected to be considered as the second meeting of the first session of the seventh parliament of the Fourth Republic opens on Tuesday, May 30, 2017.

According to the Acting Director of Parliament, Kate Addo, bills expected to be laid before the House include:

-Ghana Railway Development Bill, 2017

-Creative Arts Bill, 2017

-National Employment Bill, 2017

-Ghana Shippers’ Authority (Amendment) Bill, 2017

-Ghana Cocoa Board (Amendment) Bill, 2017

-Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (Amendment) Bill, 2017

-National Road Safety Agency Bill, 2017 among others.

The 10 instruments to be presented during the meeting include:

-Receptive Centres Instrument, 2017

-Labour (Domestic Workers) Regulations, 2017

-Ports (Amendment) Regulations, 2017

-Driving Schools and Instructors Regulations, 2017

-Road Traffic (Amendment) Regulations, 2017, among others.
