Godwin Feda, also known as “Papa Zey’” a 24 year old painter has been sentenced to seven years imprisonment for defiling an eight year old, basic one pupil.
The accused pleaded not guilty but the Ho Circuit Court, presided over by Mrs. Priscilla Dikro Ofori, found him guilty after trial hence the sentence.
Mrs. Ofori, in delivering her judgement said “Papa Zey” was a first time offender and has also pleaded for leniency, thus the minimum sentence of seven years.

She advised the convict to go for older women after serving his sentence.
Prosecuting, Police Detective Sergeant Clever Ayayee said the victim lived with her guardian at Sokode Gborgame while the convict resided at Sokode Lokoe, about three kilometres apart.
He said in November, 2018, the convict saw the victim around Sokode Gborgame and lured her into an uncompleted building in the area and forcibly had sexual intercourse with her.
The Prosecution said about a week later, the convict met the victim again and sent her to the same building and had another bout of sexual intercourse with her.

He said on November 29, 2018 at about 1630 hours, the victim was sent to a corn mill where convict again met her, took her into the same building, and defiled her for the third time.
The prosecution said after the act, a witness saw the girl and questioned her about what she was doing in the building.
He said it was after the interrogation by the witness that the victim narrated her ordeal in the hands of the accused.

The prosecution said on December 03, 2018, a complaint was lodged with the police and a medical report form issued to the victim for medical examination.
He said the report revealed that the victim had been sexually assaulted and the convict was arrested after the victim identified him playing football with his friends.
