The Public Accounts Committee of Parliament will commence its public hearing to scrutinize the Bank of Ghana foreign exchange transactions in 2015 and disposal of government vehicles by the Ghana Health Service and Ministry of food and Agriculture.
The public hearing which will be focus on four (4) reports will start from Tuesday, April 25 to Friday 28, 2017 within it first sitting.
Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament, James Klutse Avedzi said the committee will also deal with drug use in Ghana by the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA).
Klutse Avedzi who is also Deputy Minority Leader was speaking at the opening of a three days capacity Building Workshop for members of the Parliamentary Press Corps organize by the GIZ in Koforidua.
Meanwhile, Deputy Ranking Member of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), Nana Marfo Amaniampong stated that the workshop will enhance the capacity of the press corps in discharging its duties.
Dean of Parliamentary Press Corps, Nana Binkorang plead with the leadership of the committee to make copies of the Auditor General’s reports to enable them report factually.
