Our roads will decide our vote – Gomoa chief on bad roads

Omanhene of Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Council in the Central Region, Obrempong Nyanful Krampah XI, is upset with the government and the Ministry of Roads for abandoning all roads in Gomoa West, Gomoa East, and Gomoa Central.

According to him, the chiefs and people of Gomoa will consider the state of their roads on voting day.

Obrempong Nyanful Krampah XI made the comment after he was caught in the gridlock on his way to the hospital after angry drivers blocked the road due to its bad state.

The demonstrated to put pressure on government to fix their road.

Reacting to this in an interview with Adom News, Obrempong Nyanful Krampah XI said they are yet to benefit from the Year of Roads under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

He stated that, government has not constructed any road in the three Gomoa constituencies within the past eight years.

The Paramount chief appealed to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to address the issue of Gomoa roads before the December polls.

In response, the DCE for Gomoa West, Bismarck Nkum appealed for calm.

He said he is working hard with the Ministry of Roads and Highways and the President to fix the Gomoa Dawurampong and Apam roads.
