Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has acknowledged the challenge Ghana faces in their upcoming clash against Chad in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Ghana will host Chad tonight at the Accra Sports Stadium in a crucial Matchday 5 encounter.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Thursday, the 49-year-old coach emphasized the need for focus and determination, urging Ghanaians to rally behind the team.
“I know Chad is not a top team, but believe me, it’s not going to be easy. We need all the support we can get,” said Addo, who previously worked as a talent coach at Borussia Dortmund.
Following the game, the Black Stars will travel to Morocco to take on Madagascar in their Matchday 6 fixture on Monday.
Ghana, aiming for a fifth World Cup appearance, must win both matches to boost their chances of qualifying. The Black Stars currently sit third in Group I with nine points.
