Black Stars coach, Otto Addo has settled on Medeama SC and FC Samartex as his top picks to win the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title.
Addo shared his thoughts after watching Medeama’s 1-0 win against Legon Cities in their match week two encounter at the Legon Stadium on Saturday.
He had previously observed Samartex, the defending champions, secure a victory over Nsoatreman in the 2024 Ghana Super Cup last month at the refurbished TNA Stadium.
On the same day, Addo also witnessed Medeama’s penalty shootout loss to Basake Holy Stars in the Apinto Cup.
“From what I’ve seen from Medeama and Samartex, they are performing well,” Addo said in a post-match interview after the Medeama-Legon Cities game.
“Maybe it’s between these two, but I haven’t seen all the matches yet. I’m looking forward to watching Kotoko, Hearts of Oak, and other strong teams before making a final prediction on the league winner.”
Addo also mentioned his plans to attend more Ghana Premier League games this season, with the aim of scouting local talent.
