Ghana coach Otto Addo has acknowledged the challenge his team faces as they prepare to take on Madagascar in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The Black Stars will play at the Al Hoceima Grand Stadium tonight in their Matchday 6 encounter against the Barea.
Speaking to the Ghana FA media ahead of the crucial fixture, Addo admitted that Madagascar poses a serious threat, especially given their recent performances.
“We observed the Madagascar team and they have done really, really well, especially in the last game, so they are in good form and it’s going to be a tough game,” the 49-year-old said.
Kick-off is set for 19:00 GMT.
Ghana heads into the game brimming with confidence after a dominant 5-0 victory over Chad in Accra last Friday. The emphatic win propelled the Black Stars to the top of Group I with 12 points, two points clear of second-placed Madagascar.
As four-time African champions, Ghana is determined to secure a spot at their fifth FIFA World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico in 2026.
