The Oti Regional Treasurer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Addo Prosper, has been confirmed as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Krachi West Municipality.
His confirmation followed a unanimous vote by all 34 assembly members, resulting in 100% support for his leadership.
In his acceptance speech, Addo Prosper expressed his gratitude to the assembly members and the NDC leadership for placing their trust in him.
He promised to work tirelessly to address the municipality’s pressing needs, particularly in infrastructure development, education, road improvements, and the ongoing power crises in the area.
“I’m committed to collaborating with the assembly and all other stakeholders to ensure that the aspirations of our people are met,” Prosper said.
Helen Adjoa Ntoso, the Member of Parliament for Krachi West, also voiced her support for the president’s nominee. She praised Prosper for his dedication to public service and his understanding of the municipality’s challenges.
Speaking to Adom News, Madam Ntoso highlighted the difficulties of working with an opposition MCE over the past eight years, which she said had hindered many developmental agendas and visions.
She believes that with Prosper in office, Krachi West will experience significant growth and development.
She urged the residents of the municipality to rally behind the new MCE as he embarks on his journey to lead the area forward.
