The Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority (NYA), Osman Ayariga, has been appointed as the chairman of the Technical Working Committee for the National Apprenticeship Programme.
The committee was inaugurated on Wednesday, March 19, by the Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, George Opare Addo, at the Ministry’s premises.
Mr. Opare Addo highlighted the significance of the committee in ensuring the effective implementation of the apprenticeship programme.
“This initiative is crucial in equipping our young people with the skills needed to thrive in the job market. Under the capable leadership of Mr. Ayariga, the Technical Working Committee will play a key role in shaping the programme’s direction and success,” he stated.
Osman Ayariga expressed his gratitude for the appointment and pledged to work diligently to achieve the programme’s objectives.
“I am honoured to chair this committee and contribute to an initiative that has the potential to transform the lives of many young Ghanaians. We will ensure that the programme delivers on its mandate and provides real opportunities for skills development and employment,” he assured.
The Technical Working Committee consists of industry experts, policymakers, and education specialists tasked with overseeing the programme’s design, implementation, and evaluation.
The government has committed to providing the necessary resources and support to ensure its smooth execution, with the ultimate goal of benefiting thousands of young people across the country.
