Organized Labour suspends industrial action

-

Organized Labour has announced the suspension of its indefinite industrial action over the sale of sixty per cent (60%) of SSNIT’s shares in four hotels.

This decision comes after a formal communication from the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), confirming the termination of the share sale.

The National Executive Council (NEC) of the Ghana Medical Association (GMA), which had earlier issued a roadmap for industrial action effective July 12, 2024, has also suspended its plans following these developments.

In an emergency meeting held on July 15, 2024, Organized Labour reviewed SSNIT’s decision and opted to suspend the industrial action with immediate effect.

The NEC of the GMA subsequently directed all members to return to their posts, reflecting the resolution reached in response to SSNIT’s actions.
