The Ghana Education Service(GES) has expressed hope to conclude investigations into the fatal stabbing incident at O’Reilly Senior High School (SHS) within two weeks.
The assurance follows a commiseration visit to the family on Wednesday morning following the unfortunate incident on Monday.
In a statement, GES said it was deeply saddened by the tragic incident and pledged continuous support to the school.
GES has also assured the public that we are working closely with the relevant authorities to ensure a thorough investigation.
“We hope to conclude our administrative investigations within two weeks while the Police Service handles the criminal investigation. We are pleased to report that calm has been restored on the campus, and we are working to ensure the well-being and safety of all students and staff,” the statement read.
The Service has pledged commitment to providing a secure and conducive learning environment for all students.
“We will continue to work tirelessly to prevent such incidents and ensure our schools remain safe spaces for academic excellence.
“We urge the public to refrain from speculations and allow the investigative processes to unfold. We will provide updates as necessary. Once again, we express our deepest condolences to the affected family and the school community,” the statement added.
