ORAL team prevented demolition of 20 bungalows – Ablakwa

-

The Chairman of the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Committee, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has revealed that the team has been able to prevent the demolition of 20 bungalows.

The North Tongu MP, who is the Foreign Affairs Minister nominee, disclosed this during his vetting on Friday.

According to him, the team received a call about an intended demolition of 20 bungalows and informed National Security, who then intervened.

“I can reveal to you today that since ORAL was established, just by receiving information from the general public, we have saved this country 20 bungalows that were going to be demolished, and I can provide the list.

“Bungalows that belonged to the recent Department of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Gender, and the CSIR. Bulldozers had moved in, but because they called the ORAL Secretariat and we then called National Security to take action, these bungalows were saved,” he stated.

Meanwhile, he commended President John Mahama for the establishment of such a committee to drive the anti-corruption campaign.
