The Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL) Committee has submitted its report on suspected corruption cases to President John Mahama.
During a brief ceremony at the Jubilee House on Monday, February 10, 2025, the committee presented its final report to President John Dramani Mahama.
The committee was tasked with investigating alleged corruption and verifying claims of embezzled state resources.
Speaking at the event, ORAL Chairman Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa disclosed that Ghanaians were deeply concerned about corruption and were eagerly anticipating the president’s actions to address the issue.
According to him, the committee received 1,493 complaints through a toll-free call and 924 via emails, bringing the total to 2,417.
“Over the past 53 days, we have reviewed these petitions; 44 were received directly from CSOs and other spirited public citizens. 59 of the 230 cases had come up during the NDC’s time in opposition, but we decided to go back and review in greater detail,” he stated.
Receiving the report, President Mahama commended the team for their pro-bono services to the nation and pledged to work thoroughly with the findings.
“Every pesewa recovered from the operation will be reinvested in national development, emphasising that Ghana is no longer a ground for corruption,” he declared.
