Oppong Nkrumah mourns with DJ Awana’s family and Multimedia Group

Ofoase-Ayirebi Member of Parliament (MP), Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has extended his heartfelt condolences to the Multimedia Group Limited (MGL) and the family of Samuel Tei Mensah Nartey, popularly known as DJ Awana, following his death.

As a former employee of MGL, Oppong Nkrumah expressed that the loss is a significant blow to both the family and the organization. He shared his sympathies during an interview on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem.

DJ Awana, one of the longest-serving staff members of the Multimedia Group, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025, after a short illness.

He died at the 37 Military Hospital, where he had been receiving treatment.

Following his passing, tributes and condolences have poured in from his colleagues and Ghanaians, with many sharing fond memories of the late DJ.

The family of DJ Awana officially communicated his demise to the management of MGL on Tuesday, April 8. Funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.
