Ghanaian rapper Opanka has credited Kwaw Kese for playing a significant role in his music career, highlighting their 2011 collaboration on the hit song “Poppin” as a major turning point.
Speaking on Adom FM’s Work and Happiness show, Opanka expressed gratitude to Kwaw Kese for recognizing his talent and giving him an opportunity.
“I always have a good feeling about the people I collaborate with, and I believe Kwaw Kese felt the same. He reached out to me because he thought I was the best fit for the song. My verse made an impact, and that collaboration was a banger. I definitely gained more fans after that,” he said.
“Poppin,” which featured Dadie Opanka, was released on June 14, 2011.
Opanka is currently promoting his latest single, People, which he describes as a sermon on life’s struggles and responsibilities.
