A one-week observation has been announced for Mercy Little Smith, the beloved actress who passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at the age of 43.
The news of her death was shared a day later through the Efiewura Facebook page. Mercy Little became widely known for her role as Benyiwaa in the iconic TV series Efiewura, which catapulted her to fame.
While the exact cause of her passing has not been disclosed, her screen husband and fellow Takoradi native, Kwame Dzokoto, revealed that she had been battling an undisclosed condition.
The one-week observation will take place on Saturday, December 28, and was announced on Mercy Little’s official Facebook page.
In line with Akan tradition, the one-week observation serves as a time for family and loved ones to come together in remembrance of the deceased.
It also marks the beginning of preparations for their burial and final funeral rites.
