Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde is celebrating life and good health this Thanksgiving after surviving a serious medical emergency.
In an emotional social media post, the actress detailed her ordeal, which started weeks ago when she initially experienced intense back and chest pain, coupled with severe acid reflux.
Omotola added that her situation worsened, culminating in excruciating stomach pain and relentless vomiting.
She described how she was in and out of the hospital, with temporary relief each time, but ultimately sent home. However, after extensive tests, including a CT scan and MRI, she was diagnosed with a critically dilated gallbladder that required immediate surgery.
“Have you been told by a doctor, ‘There’s nothing more we can do’? And you still feel like you’re dying? I was rushed again to the emergency… the third time! This time, I was wheeled in straight for a CT scan, ultrasound, and MRI. Then the doctor came in and said you have to go in immediately for surgery! … to remove your gallbladder!!! It was so dilated, the doctors wondered how I was not in more pain. More pain??!!!”
Fortunately, the surgery was successful, and she said she is back on her feet.
Omotola used the moment to inspire her fans, urging them to take time to appreciate life’s blessings, no matter their circumstances.
