Okwawuhemaa wants Eastern North Police Commander removed

The Queen Mother of the Kwawu Traditional Area, Nana Adwoa Gyemfua II, has called on President John Dramani Mahama and the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to transfer the Eastern North Regional Police Commander, ACP Kwadwo Asante, over his alleged involvement in chieftaincy disputes in Kwawu.

Speaking at Kwawu Abene during the celebration of Akwasidae with Kwawuhene, Daasebre Akuamoah Boateng III, Nana Adwoa Gyemfua II expressed concerns that the police commander’s actions could escalate tensions in the area.

She urged authorities to take swift action by transferring him to help maintain peace and stability in Kwawu.
