Ohemaa Mercy declares support for National Cathedral

Ghanaian gospel musician Ohemaa Mercy has made her position on the construction of Ghana’s National cathedral by pledging 100% support for the president’s decision.

According to the gospel musician, God deserves a house in Ghana, noting that such a move requires a special gift and passion, the kind of passion President Akufo-Addo has exuded.

“When it comes to building the house of God, it is a gift and a calling from God so for our President, to have the passion to build the National Cathedral means he had the calling before he was born,” she stated.

Speaking on Hitz FM’s Day Break Hitz FM, she explained that the president’s passion to build the house of God was a way for Ghana to experience God’s favour.

“Every country that doesn’t have the house of God doesn’t have the presence of God so I support him 100% and Ghanaians will be surprised with the kind of blessings and favour the country will receive,” she noted.

Ohemaa Mercy also urged up-coming gospel musicians not to force their way into the limelight but focus on knowing the particular calling on their life and wait on the lord to get them there.

“People see you now and want to be like you but don’t want to go through the process; it is not about coming into the limelight but allowing yourself to go through the process of waiting on the lord. This is one of the ways God is going to use to strengthen and teach you the right way for you not to come into the gospel scene to disgrace him,” she stated.

“There are holes such as self-control ahead that God is training you for, if you go ahead of God, there will be casualties,” she added.
