Cardi B and Offset are back in the headlines, but this time it’s not about music.
The couple, who are in the midst of divorce proceedings, had a heated online confrontation on Wednesday night, September 25.
During an Instagram Live session, Cardi B voiced her frustrations towards her soon-to-be ex-husband, accusing him of making threats. “You want to play those games with me? We’re going to play those games too,” she said, addressing Offset’s alleged behaviour.
Cardi continued, saying, “Since you wanna f***ing threaten me, talking about you wanna take my sh*t… You want to take my sh*t because I’m moving on? Move on! Why can’t you move on?” She also criticized Offset for thinking he could win her over with material things. “You can’t buy me anymore, motherf***er. It’s wild that someone thinks that’s enough. It’s definitely not, honey,” she exclaimed.
As the live session unfolded, Offset jumped into the comment section, making a bold accusation. “U f***ed with a baby inside, tell the truth!!” he wrote. Cardi B swiftly responded on X (formerly Twitter) with the bold statement, “AND DID!!!!!!”
In another tweet responding to Offset’s use of a ‘cap’ emoji, implying she was lying, Cardi fired back, “Oh baby, trying to side with the opps is never a good look. You know I started talking to n***as on June 24th. Didn’t I tell you I would spill my own tea???” She followed up with another tweet, stating, “A hurt n***a will do the unthinkable.”
Cardi B filed for divorce from Offset in July 2023, citing various reasons, including infidelity. Although there have been rumours of Offset’s cheating, sources close to the couple have denied this as the main reason for their split.
The couple, who secretly married in 2017 before publicly getting engaged, had previously filed for divorce in 2020 but reconciled shortly after.
They share three children: Kulture, 6, Wave, 3, and a newborn whose name has not been revealed.
Despite their tumultuous relationship, the pair had claimed they were “stronger than ever” before their latest split.
