Officers caught in electoral fraud will face severe consequences – EC warns

-

The Electoral Commission (EC) has issued a strong warning ahead of the December elections, making it clear that it will not protect any officer involved in electoral malpractices.
This statement reinforces the EC’s dedication to upholding a free, fair, and transparent election process.
Speaking at a recent press conference, Dr. Bossman Asare, the Deputy Chairperson of the EC, emphasized the Commission’s strict policy against any form of misconduct by its officials.
He assured the public that any officer found guilty of interfering with the electoral process would face serious consequences, including legal action.
“The Commission would like to assure the public that it will not shield any of its officers both permanent and temporarily found complacent in any electoral malpractices and will always allow such persons to face the full rigours of the law,” he stated.
