Obuobia Darko-Opoku appointed Ag. Deputy MD for Ghana Airports

Former Deputy Director of Communications of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Obuobia Darko-Opoku, has been appointed Acting Deputy Managing Director of the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL).

Obuobia confirmed the appointment in a Facebook post, expressing gratitude to President John Mahama.

She emphasized the crucial role of the GACL in Ghana’s economic and infrastructural development, describing it as a gateway to the nation that facilitates trade, tourism, and investment.

Obuobia pledged to support the President’s vision of advancing Ghana’s aviation sector and enhancing its global competitiveness.

 

She will be assisting Yvonne Nana Afriyie Opare, who was appointed by former President Nana Akufo-Addo. Opare’s continued stay in office has sparked mixed reactions.
