Member of Parliament for Obuasi East, Hon. Dr Patrick Boakye-Yiadom has vowed to seek justice for a 17-year-old girl who has been allegedly molested by a teacher at Obuasi Senior High Technical School in the Ashanti Region.
The teenager whose name has been withheld said 47-year-old housemaster for House 5, Seth Amponsah, forcibly had sex with her in his office one evening.

According to the Form One girl, the teacher did not use a condom, Joy News’ Manasseh Azure Awuni who followed the story reported.
Speaking on Adom FM’s morning show Dwaso Nsem Wednesday, the Obuasi East MP said the alleged affair between the student and Mr Amponsah, per reports he has received on the ground, is just “a tip of the iceberg”.
He indicated that several students have suffered similar fates but the teachers have gone scot-free due to intimidation.

The MP who is also an old student of the school said he has reported the matter to the Regional Education office for action to be taken against offenders.
“I will make sure the girl gets justice because this thing must stop. I have reported the matter to the education office,” he indicated.
Hon. Boakye-Yadom said the incident has triggered more reports about sex between teachers and students in the school.
