Mariama, a 32-year-old hearing-impaired woman had been away from her family at Asante Akyem in the Ashanti region for five years due to a challenging marriage.
She ended up at New Life Charity Home, where efforts were made to find her family through announcements on radio and TV, but to no avail.
Managers of the home said Mariama has been grieving for the past six months, hence intensifying the search for her family.
With the help of Nhyira FM’s Obra Show, Mariama’s relatives have been located and the family reunited.
