Former President of Musicians Union of Ghana [MUSIGA], Bice Osei Kuffour, popularly known as Obour, has called for the enforcement of Ghana’s existing sanitation bye-laws to ensure a clean and healthy environment.
Speaking in an interview with Adom News when he joined residents in the Asante Akyem South Constituency in the Ashanti Region to mark the 2019 World Day sanitation, he pledged to support the government in the implementation of these laws.
Obour was supported by the Forestry Commission and Zoomlion Ghana Ltd who donated dustbins, wheelbarrows, detergents and brooms towards the cause.
Assembly members, chiefs and residents of Komeso, Saabo, Yaw Barima, Takyikrom, Kyempo, Banso, Dwendwenase, Bankame, Atiemo and Koikrom Electoral areas in the Asante Akyem South constituency all joined the exercise.
Former Member of Parliament and also Board Chairman of the Middle Belt Development Authority, Alex Kwaku Korankye who also took part in the exercise urged the residents to continue the exercise regularly.
Obogumanhene, Nana Apenten Darkwah lll also pledged his support for Obuor’s sanitation campaign.
