Karela United are set to appoint Nurudeen Amadu as the club’s new head coach.
The Ghanaian tactician will replace Jimmy James Corbblah.
Amadu’s imminent appointment follows his departure from FC Samartex 1996, where he ended his tenure after a five-match winless streak.
Amadu led FC Samartex to their first-ever Premier League title last season, marking a historic achievement in only their second year in Ghana’s top flight.
Now, Amadu faces the challenge of reviving Karela United’s fortunes after a difficult start in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
Currently sitting in 16th place in the league standings, Karela United hopes that the experienced coach, who has also managed Wa All Stars and King Faisal, can guide them away from relegation and secure a solid mid-table finish.
Karela United will face Nsoatreman FC in Matchday 17 this weekend at the Nana Kronmansah Sports Complex.
It is expected that Nurudeen Amadu will be officially unveiled as head coach this week.
