Mothers’ Day is a traditional day dedicated to the acknowledgement of the immeasurable contributions of mothers.
In Ghana, this day is marked on the second Sunday in May with great fanfare and events in honour of mothers.
We in NUGS, join in the celebration of each and every mother. We offer our sincerest gratitude to Ghanaian mothers for the exceptionally difficult task of raising our thriving society.
As students, we acutely understand the need of quality leadership in educating and bringing up young ones in our communities. The Ghanaian mother daily surmounts this challenge with exemplary commitment and achieves results we are witnesses of.
We specially acknowledge students who are nurturing and taking care of younger ones.
The Union expects educational facilities at higher levels to as a matter of need, establish adequate daycare facilities to cater for the children of students who are pursuing further education. This step should enhance the capacity of mothers in school to achieve even more.
NUGS calls on society to offer Ghanaian mothers the utmost support in the situation where they choose to pursue formal and informal education.
NUGS once gain salutes all Ghanaian mothers.
Ayekoo!
