In a heartfelt appeal, school authorities and students of Ntrobuman Senior High School in the Nkwanta South Municipality of the Oti Region have expressed concerns over the lack of adequate facilities, particularly the urgent need for a dining hall and the completion of abandoned boys’ dormitories.
The school, which has been a beacon of education in the area, is struggling with overcrowded classrooms and insufficient accommodation for its students and staff.
On a visit to the school, Adom News correspondent Obrempongba Owusu observed that the absence of a proper dining hall has forced students to eat their meals in makeshift arrangements under trees.
Uncompleted Projects
The assistant headmaster of academics, Michael Kwame Mottey, emphasized that a proper dining hall is essential for fostering a conducive learning environment, as it would provide students with a dedicated space to nourish themselves and socialize.
Adding to the frustration was the stalled construction of boys’ dormitories, a project that has been abandoned for years.
According to him, the incomplete facility, which was meant to serve as a multi-purpose space, stands as a stark reminder of the government’s unfulfilled promises to the school community.
