NRSA partners with 2M Express to enhance safety on Accra-Kumasi route

The National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) has partnered with 2M Express Limited to address concerns about service quality and safety on its Accra-Kumasi route.

The move follows several complaints about the company’s operations and aims to introduce enhanced safety measures for both passengers and drivers.

In a statement, the NRSA noted that 2M Express has begun drug testing its drivers as part of pre-trip checks, a measure the Authority commended. The NRSA urged other transport operators to adopt similar practices to improve road safety across the sector.

While recognising this initiative, the NRSA has also issued specific directives to 2M Express to ensure further safety enhancements.

The Authority emphasised that regular inspections—both scheduled and random—will be conducted to ensure compliance with the new measures. It further warned that sanctions would be imposed if the company fails to adhere to these regulations.

The NRSA reaffirmed its commitment to working with transport operators to uphold high service quality standards and reduce road traffic incidents.
