NPP’s Review Committee will not make report on election defeat public – Sammi Awuku

-

Member of Parliament for Akuapem North Constituency, Sammi Awuku, has announced that the findings of the Professor Aaron Mike Oquaye-led committee on the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) 2024 election defeat will not be made public.

Speaking on Adom FM’s Burning Issues, the former NPP Youth Organizer emphasized that the report is not for public consumption, but rather to guide the party’s leadership in resolving internal issues.

“Let me limit people’s expectations here, Professor Mike Oquaye’s Committee report will not be made public for discussion. It is meant for the executives to know what went wrong, but not meant for the public to talk about,” Mr. Awuku told sit-in host, Akwasi Nsiah.

He further explained that after the report is submitted, the party hierarchy will implement its recommendations.

Mr. Awuku also appealed to party members who are upset over the defeat to be given the opportunity to express their frustrations. According to him, allowing these individuals to voice their concerns will aid in the healing process the party is currently undertaking.

“Sometimes, when people are angry and frustrated, you allow them to pour out their frustration. After that, they become free and open-minded and come on board to help you in whatever course is being undertaken,” he said.
