The 12-member committee assigned to investigate the opposition New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) defeat in the 2024 general elections on Wednesday, April 16, presented the findings of its probe to the national leadership of the party.

At a brief ceremony held at the Alisa Hotel in Accra, the committee, chaired by Prof. Aaron Mike Oquaye, formally handed over the official report to the party.

The event was attended by several party bigwigs, including former President Nana Akufo-Addo, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, former running mate Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin, General Secretary Justin Kodua, and other senior members.

The committee was tasked with identifying the factors that led to the party’s defeat and proposing measures to prevent a recurrence in future elections.

Following the presentation, Prof. Mike Oquaye declined to offer any comments on the contents of the document.

The party is yet to make the findings available to the public.
