The Women’s Wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), led by National Women’s Organizer Obaatanpa Kate Gyamfua, has announced a nationwide fasting and prayer service.
The event themed Divine Announcement is scheduled for November 11, 2024, at the Efua Sutherland Park in Accra.
The event is open to the general public, inviting all to join in seeking divine guidance for the upcoming elections.
Also, similar spiritual warfare would be embarked at the regional and constituency level with the sub-theme, “The Blood That Speaks a Better Word.”
The fasting and prayers will occur nationwide from October 28 through November 3, culminating in the national gathering on November 11 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Special guests will include Ghana’s First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, and Second Lady, Samira Bawumia, alongside notable NPP leaders such as Chief of Staff Frema Opare.
Also, Foreign Affairs Minister Shirley Ayorkor Botchway, Communications Minister Ursula Owusu, Deputy Minister of Health Dr. Alma Adade Prempeh, and Members of Parliament Adwoa Safo and Naa Darkoa will also be present.
The prayer service, led by Kate Gyamfua with her deputies Mimi Duah and Hajia Safia Mohammed, seeks to unite the party in prayer for a peaceful and successful election season.
