Salam Mustapha

The National Youth Wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has issued a stern warning to the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

This is in the wake of an alleged plot by the NDC to vandalise billboards and posters of NPP’s flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

In a statement, the NPP claimed to have credible information that, the NDC intends to launch an operation tonight targeting their campaign materials.

The statement signed by the National Youth Organiser, Salam Mustapha noted that, the party has activated its systems nationwide to monitor the situation closely.

Salam Mustapha has directed NPP members to retaliate by dismantling and destroying any campaign materials of NDC’s candidate, John Mahama, if the alleged vandalism occurs.

“We have run out of patience since the police have shown incapacity to deal with the situation,” he stated, adding “We will nib this buffoonery ourselves by exacting proportional counter-response,” it said.

He called on all party executives to demonstrate their readiness for the upcoming elections and to protect their campaign materials vigilantly.
