In preparation for the upcoming parliamentary filing, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has established a nine-member committee to ensure that all parliamentary candidates comply with the necessary Electoral Commission (EC) requirements for filing nominations.

This move is part of the party’s efforts to maintain rigorous standards and ensure a smooth and compliant filing process.

The committee members are as follows:

  1. Mr. Frank Davies (Chairman)
  2. Mr. Gary Nimako
  3. Madam Sophia Korkor
  4. Madam Nana Adjoa Adobea Asante
  5. Hon. O. B. Amoah
  6. Hon. Ben Abdallah
  7. Madam Joyce Opoku Boateng
  8. Mr. Evans Nimako
  9. Mr. Michael Kwadwo Nketiah

The committee’s mandate includes verifying all documents submitted by each candidate, ensuring that each document complies with the EC’s regulations and requirements, and gathering and presenting comprehensive reports detailing each candidate’s compliance status.

Additionally, the committee will communicate with the candidates to address any identified issues during the screening process.

The committee’s work commences immediately from today, Tuesday, July 23, 2024.

General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong expressed confidence that the committee members will execute their duties diligently, ensuring that the party fields only the most qualified and compliant candidates.

“We trust that the members of this committee will execute their duties with diligence, ensuring that our party fields only the most qualified and compliant candidates,” Frimpong stated.

The NPP appreciates the commitment and cooperation of its members in this crucial vetting process as they prepare for the upcoming elections.
