The four NPP loyalists who were arrested for breaking into the home of the New Juaben constituency secretary of the party have been granted bail by a circuit court in Koforidua.
The court presided over by her Honour Mercy Addai Kortei admitted the suspects to a sum of GHC 100,000 each with two sureties.

In his bail application, counsel for the suspects, Francis Polley argued that “the offences were bailable and that suspects could not interfere in investigations”.
Assistant State Attorney, Dickson Donkor who charged the suspects with “conspiracy to commit robbery and robbery”, did not oppose the suspects’ lawyer.

Readers would recall that the New Juaben district police command last Monday arrested four loyalists of the NPP for breaking into the home of the constituency secretary, Issac Adjabeng, tied an occupant in one of the rooms with a rope, blind-folded him and bolted with envelopes containing Albums supposed to be used for the upcoming constituency election.
The suspects were also accused of stealing a cash amount of GHc4,700, mobile phones and other personal belongings.

Two of the suspects, Alex Owusu alias Gunta, and Wadoski were among a gang of four allegedly hired by the constituency organizer, Obeng Manu to perpetuate the crime.
Alex Owusu mentioned the names of Tanko, Mafia and Wadoski as his accomplices.
According to the new Juaben district police commander, Chief superintendent Cosmos Alan Anyan, Wadoski after his arrest named Obeng Many and Justice Peter Afful alias Oboo Yankey as masterminds of the crime.
Obeng Manu is alleged to have given them a down payment of GHC 400 as part payment of GHC 1,000.
He however denied the claim.
Suspects are to reappear on march, 21.
