Flagbearer of the Alliance for Revolutionary Change, Alan Kyerematen, has fired back at members of New Patriotic Party (NPP) who claim he is partly responsible for Ghana’s economic woes, given his former role as Minister for Trade and Industry.
On The Big Agenda on Adom TV, hosted by Nana Osei Ampofo Adjei, he stated that retaliating in the same manner would not benefit him, the party, or the country.
Mr. Kyerematen said he remains a founding member of the party and many of the party’s achievements are his initiatives.
“I was with the party and realized we were going in the wrong direction, so I left. If you say I am part of the problem, I don’t get it,” he fumed.
The presidential hopeful maintained that, he performed his duties effectively and executed his responsibilities perfectly.
“Today, as the NPP moves about, am I not the one who initiated most of the things they are talking about?” he quizzed.
Mr. Kyerematen mentioned the One District One Factory (1D1F) and the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) as some of his initiatives.
The Founder of the Movement for Change reiterated that he did nothing wrong by quitting the NPP but left because the party was heading in the wrong direction.
