The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has taken disciplinary action against its Deputy Director of Communications, Ernest Owusu Bempah, for allegedly making comments on social media that contravene party directives.
In a statement issued on Monday, April 22, 2025, and signed by the party’s General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, the NPP indicated that Mr. Bempah’s actions were in breach of a directive that bars party members from making public statements that could cause disaffection within the party.
As a result, Mr. Bempah has been referred to the party’s National Disciplinary Committee for the necessary action.
The party also reaffirmed its commitment to internal discipline and unity as it prepares for the 2024 elections.
