The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) Justin Frimpong Kodua has on behalf of the party rendered an unqualified apology to Ghanaians.
The apology according to him particularly goes to all NPP members who are disappointed and fell bitter over certain actions and inactions.
Mr Kodua rendered the apology on Asempa FM Ekosii Sen while speaking on factors that caused the NPP’s defeat in the 2024 election.
He noted that it was able time the NPP accepts it disappointed some people who helped them to secure power in 2016 and 2020 but did not benefit in any way.
JFK as he is popularly known emphasised that the NPP must eat a humble pie and accept its shortcomings.
“On behalf of the party from former President Akufo-Addo, the national chairman and all of us, I apologise to the many Ghanaians who had high hopes, the businessmen, the people who sold their properties, those who adopted polling stations, lawyers who did research for us and were hoping to benefit, we must admit have not being fair to them.
“The contractors we failed to pay, our strongholds we abandoned, the schools and roads we failed to complete, on behalf of the party, I say we are sorry,” he said.
